Prepare. Introduce. Integrate.
Bringing a new baby, puppy, dog, cat or another animal into your home is an exciting time but for your existing pet, it can also be a huge change.
Successful integration isn’t about simply putting animals together and hoping they get along. How those first interactions are managed can have a lasting impact on the relationship between your pets and the wellbeing of your whole household.
My Pet Integration Service gives you professional, practical guidance to help you prepare properly, understand what your pets are communicating and introduce your new family member in a safe, calm and positive way.
Ideally, support should begin before your new arrival comes home. This gives us the opportunity to prepare your existing pet, make changes to the environment and put a clear plan in place before the big day.
I can support you with:
- 🐶 Introducing a new puppy or adult dog
- 🐱 Introducing a cat and dog
- 👶 Preparing your dog for a new baby
- 🐹 Introducing other household animals
- 🏡 Introducing a new pet into an existing multi-pet household
- ❤️ Helping existing pets adjust to a major change in their home
💻 Option 1: Integration Zoom Consultation
£45 | 30 minutes
A convenient option if you’re planning ahead and want professional guidance before your new arrival comes home.
During our Zoom consultation we’ll discuss your individual circumstances, your existing pet(s), the new arrival and any concerns you may have.
I’ll provide practical advice on preparing for the change and help you understand the key steps involved in creating a positive introduction.
Ideal for:
✔️ New puppy preparation
✔️ New baby preparation
✔️ Introducing a cat or dog
✔️ Introducing another household animal
✔️ Owners who want guidance before bringing their new pet home
🏡 Option 2: Complete Pet Integration Home Visit
£110 | Up to 90 minutes
For those wanting a more comprehensive, personalised approach, my home visit allows me to assess your individual circumstances in the environment where the integration will actually take place.
During your visit we’ll look at:
🐾 Your existing pet(s) and their individual needs
🏠 Your home environment and how space can be managed
🍽️ Food, toys, beds and other potential resources
🚪 Safe areas and opportunities for separation
👀 Body language and communication
❤️ How to build positive associations
🐶 How to prepare your existing pet before the arrival
👶 How to introduce changes associated with a new baby
🐱 How to manage gradual introductions between animals
Following the visit, you’ll receive a bespoke step-by-step integration guide, tailored specifically to your household.
This gives you something practical to refer back to throughout the integration process, rather than trying to remember everything discussed during the appointment.
🚨 And what if things don’t go to plan?
Although prevention is always the priority, I’ll also help you understand what to do if an interaction becomes difficult or conflict occurs.
You’ll receive guidance on managing situations safely, reducing the risk of further conflict and safely separating animals if necessary.
The aim is not to create fear around the introduction, it’s to make sure you are prepared and know how to respond calmly should an unexpected situation arise.
If animals have already fought or there is a significant risk of injury, further behaviour support may be recommended.
❤️ Why prepare beforehand?
The best time to seek integration support is before there is a problem.
Giving your existing pet time to adjust, preparing your home and understanding how to introduce the new arrival gradually can help reduce stress and prevent avoidable conflict.
And remember, your goal doesn’t have to be for every pet to become best friends.
A successful integration means creating a household where everyone can feel safe, understood and comfortable living alongside each other.
